As a new mom, here is a guide to diapers that I hope will help you:

Choose the right size: diapers come in different sizes, choose the right size according to your baby's weight and age. Ensuring the right size will provide better comfort and leakage prevention.

Clean your baby: Make sure that your baby's buttocks and leg area are clean before putting the diaper on. Gently wipe your baby's skin with warm water and a non-irritating lotion or wipes, then dry thoroughly.

Putting on the diaper: Open the diaper and carefully place it under your baby's hips, making sure the diaper completely covers your baby's hips and thighs. Then, secure the diaper's side wings or snaps, making sure they are snug but not overly tight.

Check the fit: Make sure the diaper fits snugly around your baby's waist and legs, but not so tight that it is uncomfortable or causes strangulation. The diaper should be able to stretch freely around the waist and legs, and also make sure that the diaper is not loose or sagging.

Regular Changes: Changing diapers at regular intervals is necessary depending on your baby's needs. Newborns may need to be changed every 2-3 hours, while older babies can be changed at longer intervals. Timely diaper changes help keep your baby comfortable and hygienic.

Dispose of soiled diapers: When diapers have been used, place them in a diaper pail or closed plastic bag to prevent odors from spreading. If there is poop on the diapers, dump the poop into the toilet before disposing of the diapers.

Pay attention to skin health: Watch your baby's skin for any signs of rashes, inflammation or allergies. If you notice any of these problems, consider changing brands or styles of diapers, or consult your pediatrician for advice.
